Steve Hyde [bio]

Steve Hyde is a Seattle-based filmmaker and photographer specializing in portraiture and documentary films. In 2008, his documentary work was shown at film festivals worldwide and selected for the Documentary Fortnight at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Artist Statement

Inspiration for the camera arts comes from a fascination with how images tell stories and reveal human characteristics. As a film director, I have learned to facilitate the documentation of significant moments and I bring this skill to the wedding documentaries I make.

I have expertise in both cinematography and still photography in all formats. I often use a combination of vintage cameras and the most modern digital equipment. I am available for video or still photography or both. I also work in collaboration with a talented pool of camera professionals and assistants. I am happy to customize each project to meet the needs and interests of clientele.
